1954 – A missed extra point attempt gave the Hammond High Wildcats a 14-victory of the Lew Wallace Hornets.

1965 – The Hobart Brickies survive the Panthers of Roosevelt by a 13-12 score at old Gilroy Stadium on the far north side of the Glen Park section of Gary.

1982 – The Munster Mustangs shutout the Calumet Warriors 20-0 at Barney Hill Field. Mustang quarterback/safety Mike Ramirez is named the Player of the Game and awarded the game ball by Head Coach Leroy Marsh.

1993 – Don Howell’s Hobart Brickies pounded the Merrillville Pirates 34-7 at Brickie Bowl. The Brickies would go on to win their fourth and final state championship under Howell.

2004 – The Hobart Brickies won their sixth straight with a 9-6 win over the Red Devils in Lake Athletic slugfest at the Inferno.

2004 – The Griffith Panthers bury the Andrean 59ers 48-14 at the Boneyard. The Panthers, among other things, ran a fake punt up by 28 in the fourth quarter. The
bad blood caused by those late gamer tactics would lead to the Greatest Game Ever Played, just four weeks later.

2010 – The Griffith Panthers defeated the Andrean 59er 20-19 in overtime at the Boneyard
