RSN and La Lumiere School Partner to Bring Nationally Recognized Basketball Program Closer to Northwest Indiana Community

NORTHWEST INDIANA – One of the nation’s premier prep basketball programs is getting a stronger hometown connection.

Region Sports Network (RSN) and La Lumiere School have announced a new partnership that will bring approximately eight home games featuring the Lakers’ nationally recognized boys basketball team to fans through RSN’s livestream broadcasts during the 2026–27 season.

The partnership represents more than an expansion of RSN’s basketball coverage. It’s an opportunity to strengthen the bond between La Lumiere and the Northwest Indiana community, giving local sports fans a chance to follow, support, and take pride in a basketball program that competes on the national stage.

While La Lumiere has established a reputation for competing against some of the finest prep basketball programs in America, the Lakers also call Northwest Indiana home. Through this partnership, RSN will bridge the gap between the program’s national presence and its local roots.

“Partnering with the La Lumiere national basketball team will be an incredible experience for us here at RSN,” said Mike Dywan, Sports Director of the Region Sports Network. “We are ecstatic to have a front-row seat to some of the best high school basketball talent in the country while continuing to provide our product to the Northwest Indiana area and beyond.”

The broadcasts will introduce more Northwest Indiana families, students, coaches, and basketball enthusiasts to the Lakers, providing an opportunity to experience the program’s high-level competition while creating a stronger sense of local pride.

For La Lumiere, the partnership provides an additional opportunity to engage the surrounding community and share its basketball tradition with a broader local audience. For Region Sports, it continues the network’s mission of celebrating Northwest Indiana athletics and connecting communities through sports.

“Given the rich history and passion for high school basketball in the Region and RSN’s commitment to showcasing local schools and athletes, our school and basketball program couldn’t be more excited to partner with RSN,” said La Lumiere’s National Basketball Head Coach, Pat Holmes. “This partnership reflects our school’s desire to broaden and strengthen relationships in our local community as well as help bring national recognition back to the Region.

The collaboration also reflects the shared belief that sports can bring communities together. By making La Lumiere basketball more accessible to fans throughout the area, the partnership will help strengthen local awareness of the program while showcasing the exceptional level of basketball being played right here in Northwest Indiana.

The partnership also creates an opportunity for RSN to provide additional exposure for the La Porte Invitational, one of the Midwest’s premier high school basketball showcases. Scheduled for January 8–10, 2027, at the historic La Porte Civic Auditorium, the three-day event will bring together some of the nation’s top prep basketball programs and future collegiate stars, further connecting Northwest Indiana basketball fans with an event that brings national attention to the local community.

The partnership will feature approximately eight La Lumiere home games, with the broadcast schedule, opponents, and viewing information to be announced.
