2007 – Craig Biggio of the Houston Astros becomes the 27th player in MLB history to record 3,000 career hits.
2007 – The Portland Trailblazers select Ohio State center, and Indiana native, Greg Oden with the #1 overall pick. Oden would miss his entire rookie year and would only play in parts of three seasons in the NBA. Seattle takes Kevin Durant second. Oops.
