2000 – Fred McGriff, then with the Tampa Bay Rays, becomes the 31st player in MLB history to hit 400 career home runs.

2000 – Cubs closer Rick Aguilera becomes the 13th pitcher in MLB history to record 300 career saves.

2002 – Phillies pitcher Robert Person drives in seven runs, including hitting a grand slam and a three-run homer in an 18-3 win over Montreal.

2010 – Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga loses a perfect game after umpire Jim Joyce rules Cleveland runner Jason Donald safe at first with two outs in the ninth. Joyce later admits he blew the call.
