1941 – The Hobart Brickies shutout the Griffith Panthers 20-0 at Franklin Field on Broad Street in Griffith. It’s the sixth time in seven meetings that Hobart has held the Panthers scoreless.

1958 – Carl Adams closes out his one and only season as Griffith head coach with a 13-6 win over Gary Edison. The Panthers were 7-2 under Adams.

1958 – Hobart ends the season with a 33-0 shutout of the Tolleston Blue Raiders. The Brickies go 8-0-1 on the year – it’s the first undefeated season in school history.

1975 – Valparaiso finishes the regular season at 10-0 with a 24-23 overtime victory over Hobart at Viking Field. Two weeks later, the Vikings became the first school in NW Indiana to win state in football, capturing the Class 3A title.

1980 – Hobart eliminates Hammond High 23-0 in a single round sectional game on Sohl Street in Hammond.

1986 – Munster advances to the sectional championship game after holding off Hammond High 17-14 in overtime on Columbia Ave. Two weeks later, the Mustangs would win the regional for the first and (as of 2023) only time.

1997 – Griffith annihilates Highland 63-6 in a Class 4A sectional semi-final game, en route to the school’s first and only state championship.

2003 – With Tommy Finn at quarterback, Andrean clobbers Morton 35-7 to move to 11-0 on the season.

2008 – Kirk Kennedy’s Lowell Red Devils go to 11-0 after beating the Plymouth Rockies 24-20 in overtime at the Inferno.

2008 – The Griffith Panthers hammer the Hobart Brickies 35-14 at the Boneyard. The Brickies season comes to an end with a 9-2 mark.
