1935 – Behind the spectacular running of future Michigan star Tom Harmon and the stellar blocking of pulling guard sensation Eddie Herbert, the Horsemen of Mann travel to East Chicago Roosevelt, where they shutout the Roughriders 14-0.

1957 – On their way to an 8-0-1 season, the Roughriders of EC Roosevelt defeat Whiting 26-7 in the Oil City.

1962 – The Lew Wallace Hornets and Tolleston Blue Raiders play to a 26-26 tie.

1969 – The Andrean 59ers improve to 6-0 with a 6-0 shutout of Horace Mann on a Saturday night at Gary’s old Gilroy Stadium.

1973 – The Wirt Troopers defeat the Horace Mann Horsemen 28-12 on a Thursday night at Gilroy Stadium in Gary.

1985 – In a couple of old-school Duneland slugfests, the Portage Indians defeat the Chesterton Trojans 7-0 in double overtime and the Merrillville Pirates edge the LaPorte Slicers by a score of 5-0.

1991 – The Brickies beat Michigan City Rogers 35-0 to improve to 7-1 on the season. Hobart would eventually capture the 4A state title that year with a 13-1 overall record, their third of four overall.

1996 – The Munster Mustangs score 69 points for the second straight game, as they bury the Warriors of Calumet 69-14. The previous week the Stangs won by a nearly identical score of 69-13 over Hammond High.

1996 – Hobart handles Michigan City 63-7 en route to becoming state runner-up. The Bricks would finish the season 13-1. The trip to state they would eventually make was to be their last.

2002 – Valpo batters the Brickies 38-0 in front of fewer than 1000 fans on a cold and windy night at Brickie Bowl. The loss was last at home for the man that replaced Don Howell, head coach Charlie Boston, who himself would be replaced by Wally McCormack the next season.

2013 – Sophomore tailback Alex Mis runs for 198 yards on just 19 carries as the Mustangs defeat the KV Kougars 48-28 down on The Farm.

2013 – Portage outscores LaPorte 36-35 in double overtime.

2013 – Andrean outscores Lowell 42-28 at the Inferno to finish the regular season at 9-0. The Niners would run the table, winning the 3A championship and going a perfect 15-0 in the process.

2013 – Merrillville beats Chesterton 31-7 to secure their third consecutive Duneland Conference championship under head coach Zac Wells.

2013 — With a 47-14 victory at the Governors’ Mansion, Morton extended its winning streak over cross-city rival Gavit to 13 games.
