2004 – Toronto’s Alexander Mogilny becomes the second Russian-born hockey player to reach 1,000 career points.
2008 – Georgia Southern’s baseball team sets an NCAA record for any Division by hitting 14 home runs in a win over Columbia. 12 different Georgia Southern players homered in the game.
