OUTLOOK: 2022 was another solid campaign for River Forest, who won the GSSC North in an undefeated fashion. The Ingots have also been one of the most positively consistent programs over the last few seasons, finishing at or above .500 since the 2019 season.
One thing does change for River Forest in 2023, as Mark Hidalgo will take over as the front man for the Ingots.
The returning talent of River Forest may make Hidalgo’s inaugural campaign a little easier, as one of the best dual-threat talents in the conference is back in Ayden Silver. Alongside him is two offensive weapons in Kalab Short and Jeremiah Stansil.
There is one thing that has been evasive for the Ingot football program – a Sectional Championship. Can River Forest go beyond this positive consistency and make program history with some hardware?
