OUTLOOK: 2022 marked the second straight 11-win season for the Wildcats, featuring an undefeated regular season where none of Hanover’s wins were within single digits. Hanover would unfortunately meet their demise to West Lafayette in the Sectional Championship, marking the start of a new chapter for the Wildcats.
This fall, Hanover Central will be in its first season of NCC play. With how much the school has been growing via enrollment, along with the pure dominance the team has had in the GSSC, a conference switch became inevitable.
Although they are the NCC’s newest team, Brian Parker’s group is not to be taken lightly. The Cats bring back the leader of one of the area’s top offenses in the dual-threat signal-caller, Matt Koontz. On the other side of the ball, All-State DL Collin Foy is a near-perfect piece for the run-heavy NCC.
However, one question may always follow the Cats leading up to this fall – how will they be able to hold up in the new conference?
