OUTLOOK: 2022 was a familiar season for the Griffith faithful, hovering around .500. It was a slight step up from years past, as the Panthers increased their win total by one from ’21. But things will be a tad bit different at the boneyard, as in steps highly-touted Head Coach, Phil Mason.
Mason’s first test will be having to replace the Panthers’ starting QB, top four rushers, top two receivers, and top tackler from last year’s squad.
However, the Panthers may be the only team in our “Preseason Previews” that all of the top returning players are Juniors.
With conference-winning Hanover Central now in the NCC, Griffith might be considered a dark horse team to look out for to win their first GSSC South Division crown since the 2020 season.
