FOOTBALL: East Chicago 2023 Team Preview

OUTLOOK: There is a new lead man in East Chicago. Corey Bailey will take over head coaching duties for the Cardinals in 2023. 

Bailey has a bit on his plate going into his first year as the front man, as EC has only notched four wins since their 5-win season in 2019. 

If there is a way for East Chicago to get back on track, it all starts in the trenches with returning James Newson, Ethan Bailey, and Jordan Fields. 

There is one important thing to note about the 2023 squad. 

Corey Bailey was hired quite late into the football season, as he was brought onto the staff well into the summer season. As a result of this, with the shortened time the two parties will have together, will the team be able to buy into Coach Bailey and the rest of his staff before the start of the 2023 season?
