BOYS SWIMMING: ALEC MARTER – MICHIGAN CITY WOLVES

GIRLS SWIMMING: ALIVIA AHNER – HOBART BRICKIES

The first diver to win a Dutch Farms Athlete of the Week award is Hobart’s Alivia Ahner. Not only did Alivia take first in the diving competition in the meet against Morton with a score of 231.85, her coach Katharine Rinas emphasized how hard Alivia works every day to get better and better!

WRESTLING: BROCK ELLIS – CHESTERTON TROJANS

One of the best wrestlers in his weight class in the state, Chesterton’s Brock Ellis dominated on the mat again this week, scoring pins in all four of his matches, including one in the DAC dual meet against Merrillville and three at the Munster Super Duals!

GIRLS BASKETBALL: JESSICA CARROTHERS – CROWN POINT BULLDOGS

Crown Point’s fabulous freshman continued her outstanding year with great games against Highland and Lake Central to earn a Dutch Farms Athlete of the Week nod. Against the Trojans, Carrothers scored 18 points to go along with seven steals, four assists and three rebounds. In the DAC showdown against LC, she put up 23 points, including three from beyond the three point arc!

BOYS BASKETBALL: JALEN PERKINS – RIVER FOREST INGOTS

The River Forest Ingots continue to have a great start to the 2018-19 campaign, thanks in part to the efforts of Jalen Perkins! Against Hobart last week, Perkins led all scorers with 17 points while shooting 100% from the free throw line. He followed that up with a 22 points performance in a win over Clark. Ingot coach Derrick Millenkoff calls Perkins his “workhorse” and says he “definitely bleeds cardinal and yellow gold”!
