LOWELL RED DEVILS (56-30)
The Red Devils have burned through a lot of teams on this list in the past 10-12 years.  State Champs: 2005

MERRILLVILLE PIRATES (56-33)
The Pirates have had teams walking the plank since the 1970s….and they’ll continue to plunder through the playoffs for years to come. State Champs: 1976

VALPARAISO VIKINGS (55-32)
The Vikings, who once held the lead in this race, sailed to Northwest Indiana’s first state championship. State Champs: 1976

Like Lowell, most of Whiting’s wins come within the last decade or so…and they’re good enough to stay here for a while.

The Indians completed the trio of champions in the 1970s….and have been holding steady ever since – most of the time anyway. State Champs: 1977

The Indians were once real good under Elmer Britton…and under Brett St. Germain they’re now good again. Expect their total to increase in the years ahead. State Runner-up: 1994
