THE FAVORITE Penn – The Kingsmen are a perfect 8-0 on the season, scoring nearly 45 points a game while surrendering just 8.7 points. It would take a monumental upset for them not to repeat as Sectional #2 champs. |
THE DARK HORSES |
Chesterton – Defensively, the Trojans have the skills to make a tournament run, but the offense leaves a lot to be desired, as they average 13 points a game and have 14 points total in the last three weeks. They have a good shot to make it to the sectional championship again, but that’s pretty much the ceiling. Valparaiso – A 2-7 team as a darkhorse may not make much sense to some, but with the Vikings avoiding Penn in the opener, they have a shot to make it to the final, as Chesterton isn’t unbeatable. Any time a team is playing for a title, you at least have to list them as having a chance. |
TOUGH TIMES AHEAD
Portage – For the third time in the last 11 games, Portage will take the field against Penn. The first two meetings weren’t exactly pretty, with the Kingsmen winning by a combined 70-7.
