THE FAVORITE Lake Central – Despite having to go on the road for every game, the Lake Central Indians head into the post-season as the favorites in Sectional #1. Not only are the Indians the defending champs, but they already have wins over both Crown Point and Merrillville on the road this season. |

Crown Point – Short of drawing 1-8 Lafayette Jeff in the first round, CP got a nice draw. Not only will they host the opener, but assuming LC gets past Jeff, the ‘Dogs will play a road game at home game in the championship. First things first though – get past Merrillville. Merrillville – Sure the Pirates had their first sub-.500 regular season since 2002, but there’s still too much potential on this team to say they don’t have a shot at playing spoiler in the post-season. |
TOUGH TIMES AHEAD
Lafayette Jeff – It’s been a tough stretch for the Bronchos, who haven’t won more than three games in a season since 2008. With LakeCentral coming to town to open up the post-season, their second straight 1-10 campaign is staring at them right in the face.
