Chris first became interested in joining the media in the mid-1990s. After completing several Communications classes at a local university, Chris met and became friends with Dan McNeil, a Chicago sports radio personality. Chris was offered an internship at "The Score" sports radio station in Chicago, which he gladly accepted.
From there his career was off and running. After several months as a production assistant at the Score, Chris moved on to WJOB in the summer of 2000 and quickly climbed the ladder of the Hammond radio station.
Before long Chris was hosting "Saturday Sports Talk" (eventually to be called "Region Sports Talk"). It was around this time that Chris officially launched the Region Sports Network.
During this period Chris accepted a position of Sports Anchor/Reporter and Producer at ESPN Radio 1000 in Chicago. However, due to the increased volume of work for the Region Sports Network, Chris left ESPN 1000 after a little more than a year on the job to pursue his full-time passion.... running the RSN.
In his 10 years in the business, Chris has been involved with more than 2,000 broadcasts on 11 radio stations including local, state and national events.
In addition to his duties as president and executive producer, Chris is the co-host of the Region Sports Football Scoreboard Show and the primary play-by-play voice of Region baseball.
Chris and his wife Angela have one child, an athletic eight-year old daughter named Carley. |
